LOCK HAVEN, PA, 11/29/08 - Senior Rex Kendle won five consecutive
matches on his way to the 165 pound title at the Mat Town Open in Lock
Haven, PA. Kendle pinned Jeremy Brooks from Millersville in the
finals in 3:27. Six other Spartans placed in the event:
2nd - Kyle Bounds 157 lbs.
3rd - Tim Hammer 149 lbs. and Tyler Dickenson 197 lbs.
4th - Collin Dozier 141 lbs., Eric Anderson 184 lbs., and Alan O'Donnell
285 lbs.
"We are making progress in some important areas and our team wrestled
hard today" said Coach Tom Minkel. "I was pleased with our effort
overall".
The Spartans return to action on Friday night when they travel to
Eastern Michigan University for a dual meet at 7:00 p.m.
