Northern Iowa standout, Alex Dolly, joins MSU wrestling
staff
Dolly will serve as the volunteer coach while attending
graduate school
Former Northern Iowa University standout, Alex Dolly, has joined the
Michigan State wrestling staff as the volunteer coach. Originally from
Mishawaka, Indiana, Alex was a three-time state qualifier in high school
placing second, third and fifth. He hold Indiana's all-time career
takedown record with 548 and was a two-time USA Wrestling National
All-American.
At Northern Iowa Dolly earned four trips to the NCAA Championships
reaching the Round of 12 three times at the 184-pound weight class.
Dolly capped his Panther wrestling career with a 74-57 record, including
nine total wins at the NCAA Championships.
Alex will attend graduate school at Michigan State and continue
competing in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
