12/08/09 - Heidi Meckl was a MSU wrestling team manager and
administrative assistant in the late-1990's. She was passionate
about Michigan State and the sport of wrestling. Heidi, her husband Jesse, and
their 11-year old step-daughter Samantha all perished in a house fire at approximately 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
The funeral plans are as follows:
Memorial services are planned for two days at the
Algonac Church of Christ, 1601 St. Clair River Drive, Algonac, MI.
The first service will be held on
Tuesday, December 8, at 6:00 p.m. and a second service on Thursday,
December 10, also tentatively set for 6:00 p.m. Heidi's
cousin Paul is the minister of the church.
Please share this information with anyone who might want to attend.
In lieu of flowers the families are asking that donations be made
the the Gorczyca Family Fund through Bank of America to help with
expenses.
Contributions can be made to the Gorczyca Family Fund at any Bank of
America branch. The funds will be used to help cover the cost of funeral
arrangements.
There also is a Samantha Jean Gorczyca Memorial Fund, which will cover
the cost of Samantha's funeral. To donate, send a check to the Samantha

extra funds will go to an undetermined charity.
